OROSORB™

Orosorb is based on a by-product derived from the citrus oil industry (cold pressed orange oil) which acts as a plant enhancer and anti-evaporant agent. Orosorb’s anti-evaporant properties lower the surface tension of water improving water penetration into the soil and reducing evaporation.

By using a thin layer of natural waxes present on the plants surface Orosorb forms a protective barrier. When combined with lowered water surface tension this barrier reduces the build up of moisture droplets on the plant, allowing the plant to dry faster and leaving less time for fungal spores to germinate.

Orosorb is suitable for use in Integrated Pest Management systems and has been used on a wide variety of crops:

• Field and protected vegetables
• Field and protected soft fruit
• Top fruit
• Nursery stock
• Ornamentals

Application information

Crop situation	Rate of application
Protected crops	200 ml/100 litres
Field crops	up to 500 ml/100 litres
Water volume	Between 250 litres/ha for young plants to 1000 litres/ha for dense crops to ensure coverage.

Best results have been achieved by weekly applications of Orosorb.
