OROPHITE™ 

Orophite is a proprietary supplemental foliar feed containing a blend of phosphorous acid, soluble potash. It is intended to stimulate early growth, root development and plant health to improve overall disease resistance and increase yield.

Potassium is an essential nutrient for plant growth and plant vigour; it provides plants with increased disease, frost and drought resistance, and increased carbohydrate or starch production. Potassium is also important for speeding up the healing of wounds caused by hail, wind and insects.

Phosphorous , although used in much smaller quantities than potassium is required continually by the plant; initially for early root growth and later for good vegetative growth and fruit set. Phosphorous is easily leached in peat media and is less available at high pH.

Orophite combines these nutrients with a highly efficient wetting and spreading agent to ensure effective distribution and absorption of nutrients (improved plant coverage practices improve overall performance; e.g. air assisted sprayers).These anti-evaporant and dispersive properties reduce moisture build-up on foliage, enabling leaves to dry faster, leaving less time available for fungal spores to germinate. They also protect against pathogen penetration into damaged areas of the plant by drying and sealing sap-sucking insect punctures.

Orophite is suitable for use on a wide range of crops including:

• vegetables
• soft fruit
• top fruit
• nut trees
• ornamental and nursery stock plants
• protected crops
• vines
• turf

Orophite leaves no residue so may be used right up to day of harvest on edible crops and is an ideal addition to Integrated Pest Management programs.
