Perlka calcium cyanamide fertiliser is now available from Plant Solutions. This slow release nitrogen fertiliser provides a non-leaching form of N and a ready source of calcium for plants. The 50% lime content is highly reactive and ensures soil pH remains constant without further applications of lime. Perlka is also a soil conditioner, activating soil organisms and increasing soil fertility. In relation to some soil diseases (such as Clubroot in brassicas and Sclerotinia in lettuces) the use of Perlka fertiliser has become the standard in many countries where these pathogens are a problem.
