GARLIC BARRIER Plus

This water based, concentrated, standardised, high quality product is derived from natural garlic extract. It contains high levels of allicin, which has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, as well as over 30 other sulphur-based nutrients and selenium which stimulate plant growth. They also have a systemic and prophylactic action. The very low content of solids makes GARLIC BARRIER Plus ideal for drip irrigation.

Regular use of GARLIC BARRIER Plus has many benefits, including growth stimulation, insect repellence and fungal suppression. When applied in a programme of treatments it can help to resist the adverse effects of stresses due to drought and unbalanced nutrition; stimulating growth, vigour, and tillering, to give strong, healthy and compact plants. Regular use can also aid the plants natural resistance of insects such as whitefly, thrips and aphids, while also assisting crops to resist or recover from most of the common fungal diseases.

GARLIC BARRIER Plus is derived from a specific variety of garlic so it contains a higher content of sulphur compared with other products making it ideal for summer conditions or where a high sulphur product is required.

Research worldwide has shown garlic's fungistatic and funcicidal activity against Phytopthora spp., Phythium spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum, Botrytis cinera, Alternaria brassisicola and numerous other pathogenic fungi.

Application rates

For optimal results GARLIC BARRIER Plus should be used from early in the growing season, up to harvest. The exact quantity depends on crop type, growing stage, environmental conditions and desired result. Using high doses at regular intervals (pulsing) can be a very useful tool in managing growth.

GARLIC BARRIER Plus may be applied through drip irrigation or sprayed on as a fine spray. Water volume 100 - 300 L/ha. Application rate and water volume required will vary depending on crop type. Shake container well before use and agitate while mixing. Compatibility tests with other products are recommended.

To improve rain fastness when spraying, Codacide oil may be added to the mix (1:1 with GARLIC BARRIER Plus )

GARLIC BARRIER Garshield

This unique blend of garlic and citrus extracts contains selenium and over 30 sulphur based plant nutrients that will stimulate plant growth; allicin in particular has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

The citrus extracts due to their high levels of bioflavonoids and ascorbic acid exhibit antibacterial, fungistatic and fungicidal properties, therefore complementing the properties of the garlic extract perfectly. These extracts act synergistically delivering immediate results.

When used regularly in a programme of treatments, GARLIC BARRIER Garshield will stimulate growth and give healthier, more vigorous plants free from bacterial and fungal diseases. An ideal product for integrated crop management programmes and is suitable for use on both field crops such as lettuce, swedes and top fruit, and protected crops including tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries and ornamentals.

GARLIC BARRIER Rabitof is a water based, concentrated, standardised garlic extract with added gustatory juices for better results, it is ideal for use in agricultural crops especially during early establishment when high levels of sulphur and selenium are required.

Growers and farmers have found that the garlic smell and taste, which is rapidly undetectable to humans, keeps rabbits , deer , crows and pigeons off treated plants for considerable periods of time. This is likely to be due to the significantly more sensitive sense of smell of these animals compared to humans.

Due to its high levels of sulphur and selenium GARLIC BARRIER Rabitof stimulates growth, vigour and tillering and helps to overcome the adverse effects of transplant stress while assisting in optimising the effects of fertilisation. Apply GARLIC BARRIER Rabitof as a fine spray to run-off; water volume will vary depending on foliage density, plant size and animal pressure. GARLIC BARRIER Rabitof is rain fast in 1 hour in the summer and 2 hours in the autumn/winter. Ideally apply late afternoon when plants are more receptive. During use the characteristic smell of garlic will become evident; however, treated areas and plants will become odourless within minutes.
