Plant Stimulants

It is well known that environmentally stressed plants are more susceptible to pest and disease attack. Regular use of plant stimulants help stimulate root growth, foliage development and crop production, making the crop less susceptible to environmental stress caused by heat and evaporation loss.

VITOMEX

A unique formulation of foliar nutrients (phosphorous, potassium, copper, manganese and zinc) which provide well known nutritional benefits and additionally stimulate plant health, increase vigour and help to maximise the plants' natural defences.

Nutritional data:

Phosphate (P 2 O 5 ) 24.5%
Potassium (K 2 O) 21.5%
Copper (Cu) 0.5%
Zinc (Zn) 1.4%
Manganese (Mn) 0.3%

Phosphorous

Phosphorous plays a vital role in energy transfer within the plant. Plants deficient in this nutrient may not always show symptoms but will use water less efficiently, be susceptible to yield and quality suppressing factors, take longer to mature and be more susceptible to climatic stress. A continuous supply is necessary throughout the plants life to ensure maximum growth and maintain health; however this is often difficult to achieve as root uptake depends on many factors such as availability in the soil, pH, soil temperature, and the adequacy of the plant root system.

The phosphorous source used in Vitomex is phosphite, a highly soluble form that is quickly taken in by the foliage. Once inside the plant the phosphite is fully systemic, quickly reaching all areas of the plant helping to avoid transient deficiencies.

Potassium

Potassium is involved in the regulation of water balance within plant cells, and also in the synthesis of large organic molecules. Plants deficient in potassium have increased susceptibility to cell necrosis and fungal attack.

Copper, manganese and zinc

These trace elements perform vital roles within the plants enzyme systems. They are only required in small amounts but a deficiency can seriously reduce the health of the plant.

The unique combination of these five nutrients in Vitomex increases plant health and vigour, helping to maximise the plants' natural defences which can improve disease resistance and give improved yields.
